I do not own a Canon 7D BUT I can tell you that you won't go wrong buying a Canon product. Canon cameras have outstanding photo quality and the lens they make are interchangeable with most older models and all the newer models. I have had Canon products for years and the digital camera I have right now I would NOT trade it for anything else. Do research on Canon and see the awards that they have won for excellence and quality.
