Frustrations: Hobby & Work

by ~
sailrsandySo I am a little frustrated these days. I seem to have a lapse in my vision. My wife says its due to the fact I obsess over what ever is I am into, and that is a true statement.
The last few days I have stepped away from DA
well, reduced my time logged in to what is probably a reasonable level.
I find this even more upsetting since I am planning a major purchase on some new equipment. Not that new equipment will make me a better photographer, but it will allow more creativity and flexibility.
However, in my current mindset, it seems like a waste. I am going to borrow Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson from ~
sailrsandy so that should get me motivated a bit. I think I may also order Learning to see Creatively. Comment if you think there are other must reads.
Another part of it is the fact that I am so fed up with my job. I can not stand going to work.
Show respect to the people that are working in retail and service industries. You have no idea how badly they can be treated in a single 8 hr shift. They bust their ass, stand all day, and get bitched at from the customers and their managers. They make crap pay, have shitty hours, rarely get weekends off, lucky to get 2 days off in a row, miss their families and are just mentally and physically drained.

Only for me
if only I could see
You turn myself to me
and recognize the poison in my heart
there is no other place
no one else I face
remedy, well agree, is how I feel
here in my reflecting
What more can I say?
for I am guilty
for the voice that I obey
too scared to sacrifice a choice
chosen for me
if only I could see
You turn myself to me

no one else I face
The remedy, to agree, is how I feel

Im so glad you like it
I often wonder about the human gene pool sometimes. You should see how many people who ring me up, I answer the phone, I hear mumble mumble, I tell them sorry I'm deaf you'll have to email or txt me, and then they ask (several times as I can't hear properly) if they can ring me back later.
I have to calmly explain to them that they could ring me back later, but unless a miracle happens, then I will be JUST as deaf as I was when they rang the first time.
Sigh!
Shakes head!
Cheers
