In my new job, I was transfered to an office closer to home almost two months ago. Not realizing where it was exactly ...it is directly across the street from where I lived when I was in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. Everyday, I make a left into the driveway, where on my right, is a pond that I fished in, skated on, and threw rocks into.

Waiting for the weather to break, I finally today got the chance to bust out the camera.

I don't recall this dock being there when I was a child, but my eyes lock onto it everyday... everyday, I am taken back ...back to the early 80's.

I love this. I think you and I are almost the same age and I too was taken back to the 80's when I saw this. I grew up in the middle of nowhere with a very large pond in my backyard. I am actually moving back to Oklahoma in a couple of days and I am going to visit my old place (good thing one of my friends bought the property). I will be taking some photos for memories like this soon. Thanks for posting this.

you can't move back!!!! the local circle that I have yet to meet will be smaller!

I believe we are the same age, 1974 here. I'm guessing things didn't work out on this side of the country for you and your husband, that sucks.

I look forward to seeing some Oklahoma though. I hope works out for you.

I love NIK Color Efex... because it wasn't really "post-able" prior to the split color filter.

Oh man, of course I have to be the older one, 1973. Seriously though, I am sorry that I didn't get to meet you and your wife before I had to go. I just had an opportunity that I had to take. I'll be ready to go in 2 days. It's a good thing I like to drive. When I take pictures of my pond, I'm going to do a really good job and I can't wait to see what you think. I'll keep in touch.
