I like the concept, your HDR technique is very good. However, I think the angle is somewhat distracting.

hmmm, interesting. it order for the composition to flow, i felt it was the only option. i feel like the angle compliments the long exposure and movement of the water.
thank you for the critique tho, much appreciated!

Anytime. How do you like the D200? Does it shoot like a dream?

in comparison to the D40 hells ya. I adopted it from my wife's aunt who upgraded to the D300. I'm loving it... but then again, I am fairly new to all this... started shooting in Feb with pawn shop Nikon N65, went digital and bought a D40 in april, then upgraded to the D200 about 2 months ago.

hows that Tokina treat you? I was looking at there whole line up. I almost went with the 11-16 f2.8, but decided on the new Tamron 10-24mm.

At one point in time, I had all the f2.8s Tokina had to offer in my shopping list. but I hated swapping out lenses with my D40 kit lenses, so 18-55/55-200mm just wasn't right for me, so instead of the 16-50mm & 50-135mm f2.8 i just went with the tack sharp nikon 16-85 vr, 70-300 vr and the tamron 10-24.

Tokina is treating me well, I'm very happy with the purchase. Color rendition is great, distortion is minimal, and it's built like a tank. I was going to get Tamron's 10-24, but it wasn't out yet (and I'm impatient).

Generally, I hate zoom lenses, but enough people have told me good things about the 16-85 VR (including yourself) that it looks like it'll be the next lens I buy (the 18-135 f/3.5-5.6 isn't cutting it with sharpness).

i havn't played with the 18-135, but i did shoot the 24-120mm. but smae here, after many reviews, 16-85 is the way to go. I was also recommended to get the 70-300mm for a longer option... it has really done me well so far, but have used the 10-24mm and 16-85 more.

i feel ya on the patience thing, I was at the PDN Photoexpo in NYC at the end of October and was trying to get the Tamron booth to sell me the one they had on display. =)
